It is the NZ yearly estimated median age dataset from Statistics NZ by TA. The data has been modified as needed to meet the State of Housing project requirements. Abbreviations/Acronyms: SOH - State of Housing, WCC - Wellington City Council, TA - Territorial Authority. Refresh Rate (Data only): Static. Ownership: This data is curated by WCC City Insights Team. They can be contacted at: CityInsightsGIS@wcc.govt.nz Stewardship: This data is maintained by WCC City Insights Team, contact CityInsightsGIS@wcc.govt.nz for information about the creation of this dataset and its maintenance. Custodianship: This data is stored on WCC's ArcGIS Server environment, administered by the Corporate GIS Team. Authoritative Data Sources (Data only): This data is derived from publicly available datasets sourced from Statistics NZ. Summary of Data Collection (Data only): This dataset contains yearly estimates of the NZ population's median age by territorial authority. The estimated resident population of each area is based on the Census "usually resident population" count, with further adjustments made to the data to reconcile for missed counts, migration, births, and deaths. The estimated resident population is not directly comparable with the census "usually resident population" count because of these adjustments.
