Description: The layer is a combination of polylines extracted from the Transport Road categories layer, the Parks Cycleways layer but also include links manually created for connectivity which are not identified in any other asset layers within the WCC spatial datasets. Streets that are dual carriageways have been merged into a single centreline for modelling purposes, but it is implicit that the bike network will be built on both sides of these carriageways. The layer includes additional attributes outlining the classification and staging of the network, the facility type that is already present as well as the street name/network location and sections of streets applied to each link of the bike network published in the traffic resolution.Attribute descriptionsStreet name: is the street that is part of the strategic bike network. In some cases, streets will be listed multiple times if part of the street is classified differently or is split into different stages.Section of street: identifies the parts of the street included in the strategic bike network.Network classification: states whether the street is classed as a primary or secondary link of the strategic bike network following the definitions in the national One Network Framework classification guidance. There is also a class identified as Primary – desired which is subject to LGWM decisions yet to made. Network stage identifies the status (built or being built), or the responsibility for improving each street section.Current facility: Type of facility currently in place
